Mas Brothers Production founder Trevor Larode is a native of Trinidad and Tobago, the land of Carnival. Trevor learned at an early age that he was not a "player" but a "creator" of Mas. Under the apprenticeship of Marc Copleland, a well-known wire bender, Trevor carefully mastered the craft  and set his future in the art of Mas making. 

 

In 1980 Trevor became principal founder for the Los Angeles Carnival, and in 1989 he then brought his talents to Miami and introduced Mas Brothers Production. In a short time, Mas Brothers Production became known for depicting various cultures and eras as noted in history and fantasy books. On the stages and streets, Mas Brothers and their dedicated team show no fear in blending the variety of colors, fabrics, and metals for a presentation to be remembered!

 

Mas Brothers actively participated in the development of the spirit of Carnival in many cities such as: New York, San Francisco, Houston, Orlando,

Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Syracuse.  

 

The Mas Brothers team has received countless

recognition and awards for their designs. Their most

recent design awards were for the following: 

 

2012 Achievements:

First Place: Miss Miami-Broward Carnival Queen Pageant.
First Place: Male Individual Costume at the King & Queen Carnival Competition.
Second Place: Female Individual at the King & Queen Carnival Competition.

 

2013 Achievements:

First Place: Miss Miami-Broward Carnival Queen Pageant.
First Place: King Costume at the King & Queen Carnival Competition.
First Place: Queen Costume at the King & Queen Carnival Competition.
Second Place: Queen Costume at the King & Queen Carnival Competition.
First Place: Female Individual Costume at the King & Queen Carnival Competition.
Third Place: Female Individual Costume at the King & Queen Carnival Competition.
First Place: Male Individual Costume at the King & Queen Carnival Competition.
